Website Redesign and Brand Identity Refresh

Horton’s Kids, a 501(c)3 dedicated to helping children in Washington DC’s Ward 8, was a great organization in need of a serious pro-bono web refresh. Their original site was literally designed and developed during a 24-hour hackathon, which resulted in significant shortcomings in their front-end design and back-end content management system. It simply did not serve the organization’s purpose.

We built Horton’s Kid’s an entirely new website with an aim to highlight the organization’s successes and to help them capture new volunteers and donations. We propped the site up on a simple-to-use WordPress build that even the least-web-savvy  individual could use to update and make changes to the site, ensuring that out-dated content would never sit around on their home page. Lastly, we developed a new brand identity for them as their prior one wasn’t reflective of their terrific organization.

Certainly a rewarding experience.
