In February 2011, our StartupXLR8R event gave designers, developers, and entrepreneurs the opportunity to focus on creating (or refining) a new product to pitch to veteran investors. This experiment in rapid application development was hosted at the Chevy Chase Microsoft offices and gave 22 teams 36 hours to build something new, concluding in a presentation to 10 local VCs/Angels. A local team of 3 talented technologists created a brand new product in 1.5 days:  Hey Astro!
