National Geographic Terra Cotta Warriors – Experiential Stunts + Sweepstakes

When the National Geographic Museum hosted the world famous “Guardians of China’s First Emperor” (an exhibition featuring treasures from the tomb complex of China’s first emperor), we were charged with coming up with a stunt that would drive some serious attention toward the incredible life-sized statues.  We did that by thinking… small.

We placed 900 miniature terra cotta warrior statues in public spaces throughout the mid-atlantic, and combined with a Twitter promotion, we created a rather epic sweepstakes that rewarded lucky winners with… (2) night weekend stay at The Madison, (2) round-trip Amtrak tickets to DC, (2) any-day, anytime tickets to the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibition at National Geographic Museum, (2) tickets to the International Spy Museum, and (2) tickets for an Opentop Sightseeing City Tour.
