ISL was engaged to develop the community building strategy for Intelligent Cities – an initiative of the National Building Museum, in partnership with TIME and IBM and funded by The Rockefeller Foundation.
The project explores the intersection of information technology and urban design to understand the deep and connected relationships between emerging technologies and our built environment, both now, and in the future.
We created a delegates program to engage a diverse community of thought leaders, prompting monthly polls to crowd source data for info-graphics, video responses on challenging topics, and Meet-up groups across the country bringing people together to discuss the future of intelligent cities.
The program culminated with a large forum event at the National Building Museum where we curated the social media channel, live blogged the event, curated a community sourced poll, and hosted the live video stream with interviews and commentary.
We did not design the infographics that ran in TIME however.
