On Campus Peer-to-Peer Marketing

We’re constantly beating the drum about mashing up the digital and physical worlds to create experiences that people love and can’t stop talking about. In fact, USA TODAY recently wrote a great article highlighting our work with American Eagle Outfitters and Youth Marketing Connection.

Our American Eagle Outfitters work has been a great case-study for how the dangerously successful mix of physical + digital can pack a huge punch, especially on a college campus when students are involved.  From dropping hundreds of AE branded ping pong balls all over campuses, to “Flip Flop Fridays” and plenty of product give-aways, we’re engaging students where they live, work and play. The campaign is anchored by campus-specific AE Student Union Facebook pages (Boston University Example), and teams of brand ambassadors who are influentials on their own campuses.

The result:  getting “Liked” by over 15% of a student Facebook population on multiple campuses across the country. That’s 10x the % of the main brand page!
